Bubble Witch Saga 2 is a sequel that brings a new take to a good game, and frankly this new game is amazing. With a new style blended with some of the styles you loved from the first bubble witch saga.
As normal you will need to shoot colored bubbles and try to match 3 or more together, when you do they will pop. In each level you have a certain amount of bubbles to shoot, and on the shooter you have 2 bubbles, and you can swap between them if you need to.
There are several different types of game, from clearing bubbles off the top row to rescuing animals or ghosts that are trapped in the bubbles. Each time you pop bubbles you score points, and if you make bubbles fall they will go into cauldrons that will give you lots of points.
Each time you make a successful match, a friendly spider will appear that will give you even more points if a bubble hits it, but if you don’t make a match, a spider or 2 will disappear off your game.
These points will convert into stars, and you can earn up to 3 stars per level, but you have to have at least 1 star or you won’t complete the level. If you make lots of matches in a row you can earn double or even triple points so try to keep chains of pops going.
There are a few boosters that you can use, either before you play or in the game itself. These vary from extra bubbles to fireballs that blow up everything in a line. You will begin play with 3 of each booster for free, and you can then purchase them for gold bars.
You have 50 gold bars at the start of the game, and you can spend them on boosters, extra lives, or extra moves at the end of a level. Gold bars can then be purchased for real money through the game if you run out.
One of the stand out parts of bubble witch was the rotating and moving bubble patterns. They don’t come down from the top, they are all on the screen, this time stuck to a poor ghost. These levels are really fun to play, and mixed in with others in the game.
The graphics have been updated, and there is a really nice polished feel to the game. The shooter is easy to use, and swapping bubbles is useful especially in later levels. Once again we have a fabulous game in Bubble Witch Saga 2 and the adventure is amazing fun to play.
