Wordament is an addicting word finding game that’s definitely unlike the others we’ve seen because it doesn’t really base its gameplay around having levels for players to progress through. Instead, it keeps cycling a layout of letters in real time after regular intervals and everyone playing the game has to find words through this particular layout of letters.

The great thing about most word finding games is the fact that getting the hang of them is fairly easy and, fortunately, this is the case in Wordament as well. When you enter the game for the first time, you’ll be shown a dialogue box that’ll explain how the game works and, after this, you won’t really need any other kind of tutorial sequence because the gameplay itself is quite simple and you’ll be able to get the hang of it in mere minutes of playing.

The gameplay of Wordament, as you’d expect, revolves around using the assigned set of letters in order to find words. As mentioned earlier, there aren’t any levels in the game so you’ll have to play from whatever the layout of letters is at the time. Whenever the timer for a specific set of letters ends, you’ll be taken to a screen that’ll show all the possible words that could’ve been made from those letters and the game will even display a leaderboard that’ll highlight all the players with high scores. This is a pretty innovative system that keeps the gameplay fresh and entertaining at all times while constantly making sure that things don’t become dull for players who’ve been playing for long periods of time.

It’s worth pointing out that, unlike most modern day word finding games, Wordament doesn’t really have any power-ups for players to use and this is why you’ll have to rely on your vocabulary alone. One important thing that we want to highlight, though, is that the sequence of letters can be rotated to different angles and this is helpful because the words are made by clicking and dragging from the first letter to the last alphabet so rotating the layout might help you find even more words.

The visuals of Wordament aren’t all that memorable because the game has a pretty minimalistic art style but, all things considered, they fit in nicely with the game’s setting and are quite enjoyable nonetheless. The game also gives players the option to change the color scheme according to their preferences and this option is great because you can keep cycling through different colors whenever things start to feel dull.
